David’s practice focuses on representing clients across industries in complex commercial litigation, appellate, and regulatory matters. He has extensive experience representing entrepreneurs, banking institutions, financial services providers, commercial landlords, and more than twenty Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. and advisory roles. He manages and litigates contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and commercial foreclosures. David also serves as local counsel for national law firms on complex matters pending in state and local courts in the Central Florida area.
In addition to his litigation practice, David advises clients on issues of business and deal structuring, real-estate transactions, TCPA and other state and federal statutory compliance matters, and federal contracting bid challenges.
David approaches every matter from a business perspective, tapping into his business and finance education to understand the client’s wants and needs from his clients’ perspective, and then utilizes his knowledge and experience in the practice of law to formulate an approach to achieve the desired results.

Representation of growth company in complex contractual dispute with a founding shareholder seeking a seven-figure damages award, resulting in a $0 arbitration award at the conclusion of a three-day arbitration hearing.

David is an active member of Board of Directors of the First Tee-Central Florida where he serves as the chair of the Governance Committee and is the immediate past President. David has served on numerous other non-profit boards and is a frequent volunteer for worthy causes in the Central Florida community and enjoys connecting acquaintances within the non-profit realm.
Education and Experience
David graduated cum laude from Indiana University Maurer School of Law; he was an editor of the Indiana University Journal of Global Legal Studies and was awarded Oral Advocacy Honors in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition. Concurrently he earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Previously David had a private law practice with an Am Law 100 firm.

Personal
David and his wife, Laura, are the proud parents of two daughters. When not chasing his daughters around the house and playground, David enjoys playing golf, cooking, reading, and exploring the West (and Montana in particular).
